Hey there!/Book Fangirling Pt. 2

Hi fellow people who read my blog! Howdy doo and how are you? : ) Hee hee

So if you haven't already read my other post about what I am about to start fangirling about, you should right here.

SO Jenny Han is one of my FAVORITEST authors ever. EVER. And today I thought hey I should post those pictures from Book Club yesterday. Quick story- Yesterday in Book Club, we took expo markers, I repeat expo markers, and wrote our favorite quotes on the windows of the library. I never knew you could write on windows with expo markers until yesterday. Like:

"Who knew, right?"
Anyway, we wrote our favorite quotes and one of my favoritest books is To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han (which is a great novel that everyone should read). So as the bookworm I am, I write them on the window and had my friend, Kinzie take pictures of me, so I could tweet about it, and I did.

Now back to present time, I tweeted them about 4 hours or so ago. AND 52 MINUTES AGO SHE FAVORITED IT (which she has done on many occasion) BUT SHE ALSO REPLIED. SHE REPLIED. I REPEAT FOR A THIRD TIME SHE REPLIED. Now this is the second time, but I didn't count the 1st since it was a comment reply on Instagram. BUT GUYS SOS. LIKE OHMYSWEETPANCAKES I'M IN AWE.

LIKE LOOK. OHEMGEE. *excessive heavy breathing*

SO YEAH. I just need to let all of you who read this know. Whew, I feel better. Yeah. So the top two are from today, the favorite and reply. The third one is from an earlier date, which I meant to post sooner, but didn't get to, as well as the Instagram post to the right. I attended my school's dance and missed out on Jenny's Twitter chat. I was bummed that I was going to miss it, but she replied to me which not only took me by surprise, but put me in a better mood. And then on the bottom is a favorite from the one and only Rainbow Rowell, another one of my favorite authors. I have read her novels Fangirl and Eleanor and Park (which I own). Both are really REALLY good and I recommend them to you. I read Fangirl first of the two of her books I've read, and I adore it, so when I saw Eleanor and Park at Target, I HAD TO buy it.

But before I go, I forgot to add, THE SEQUEL TO TATBILB IS COMING OUT IN MAY AND THE COVER IS OUT AND OHMYSWEETPANCAKES, I CANNOT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT. I'M METAPHORICALLY/FIGURATIVELY/NOT-LITERALLY DYING (If I literally died, I couldn't read the book sooooo).

THE SEQUEL COVER. OHMYOHMYOHMY.

So that's all from me for now! Until then adieu!
Signing off, Bookworm Liana!

"It's a strange world." "The strangest."

1.) In Creative Writing, I have written numerous different stories and tidbits. Whether it be something based on my imagination or from my own life experiences, I believe to be a piece of myself in everything I write. Sometimes it was a little weird, maybe a little creepy to being a light-hearted fluffy romance story- my writing style reflecting my weird quirks and knowledge.
    • My very first post on this blog, my I Am... Poem holds a place in my heart as it was the first writing that my peers and anyone who reads my blog were able to read and know a little about myself- with my love for IM5, my style of Converses, jeans, and a tee, and just a lil' about my life.
    • To follow my first post, I also really enjoyed my (kind-of-finished-but-kind-of-not) story, It's Always Who You Least Expect. This idea sparked from a receipt I found in the street when the class had a little field trip to the outskirts of the school. The receipt was for a Dry Cleaner's which seemed sort of abnormal for an item to cost $30.87 for dry cleaning. This was intriguing to me and sparked the idea for a mystery. The "1st chapter" I wrote could stand alone, or continue. I wrote a 2nd chapter to follow, that could continue the story or could be ignored as I said the 1st chapter could stand alone. I am unsure if I will finish it. Possibly.
    • I really enjoyed writing my Belle of the Ball as it was inspired a golden yellow Disney paint swatch called Belle of the Ball. I love everything Disney so this was on of my favorite works I wrote in class. It also took me a while to write as I was inspired by the the color which was Beauty and the Beast-inspired (one of my favorite Disney movies). It's probably my "fluffy" piece of writing as it has the romance element that is not in a large chunk of my stories.
2.) With writing comes reading, and I've done so through the stories of my peers. My classmates have written various stories, each showing a different style and voice, reflecting who they are. Some of the most memorable stories I read were: Taylor's To Love A Thief, Collin's A Special Kind of BrewKinzie's Dream Threads: MexicoRaven's Scary StoryAlexis's Dream ThreadsLauren's Sometimes I ForgetBethany's HeartlessBo's Lyric Shuffle. These are just a few of the stories by my classmates that I read and love. I really enjoyed the uniqueness and different ideas everyone had. While we were all given the same task, it was nice to see the diversity at how we all approached it. Other than the blog posts, I read outside of this class and school. I haven't been able to read as much as I would have liked to, but I've been fitting in reading when I can. To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han and The One by Kierra Cassare my favorite books of 2014. Jenny Han's cover caught my eye, the first reason of interest, then I began to read it and couldn't stop. I finished it the day I checked it out from the library and I was left just thinking, "Wow. That was amazing. But... I NEED MORE." (And thankfully there will be a sequel- P.S. I Still Love You- suppose to be released June 2nd, 2014!) If you've read my Book Fangirling post, you know this novel and Jenny Han. It was just that good. (I almost love it as much, if not equally as I love the Trylle trilogy by Amanda Hocking.)
Me reading:
#matilda
3.) At first I was a little skeptical of making a blog, but I use social media, specifically Twitter, almost everyday; and to me Twitter is just like a blog. It's just a blog in which you can only post 140 characters per story/thought/etc. I got used to blogging after the first few posts. I noticed that people may know a little more about me through my writing. I tend to write things that people wouldn't assume I would, if they saw me. I'm seen as a stereotypical nerd to many of my peers and such, so people would probably never think that I would write stories like my It's Always Who You Least Expect, Lurking in the Shadows, Dealings of Secrets, etc. The thought of classmates of mine or complete strangers stumbling across my blog is quite weird to me, but I just hope they enjoy what I have written, as I take great pride in everything I write (even when its not my best). Now with my blog name, I believe my name to my blog stands true as I tend to overreact (in some people's opinions) and fangirl over things I enjoy like IM5, The Legend of Korra, and little things like this. I feel that even as I grow older, I will always be a fangirl. Maybe not of the same thing. But I will be fangirling.

4.) This semester, I cannot say I have written in my journal much outside of class. However, I also had AP English Literature last semester along with Creative Writing, actually right after CW. So I had writing, then more writing (and some reading). With homework in Lit constantly I wrote various essays for that class. All this writing was a lot, so I didn't do much other than what I mentioned. This semester I don't have a class were I write (no English D:), so I will most likely be journaling in my free time now, when I have time. I have AP Calc 2 this semester which will be my hardest, busiest, heaviest work-loaded class, taking away from my time of writing. Hopefully this will go better than the past- I have tried to keep journals/diaries, but I would forget about it or lose it. But I am determined to write, as I am constantly getting new ideas from my experiences.

5.) A journal entry that was never posted is this one story I wrote that was inspired from our lyric shuffle, my Right in the Feels.

He walked by me, ignoring me, not even glancing in my direction. "Wow." I exclaimed. He turned his head at the comment "What?" he asked, confused. "You know you use to be actually cool. Before you became popular and started ignoring everyone that isn't considered 'popular' like me, your best friend- sorry, ex-best friend." I stated. "I-I'm sorry I didn't--" "Don't. Don't try to apologize now. I miss the conversations we used to have. I liked to think we had it all. You said you had my back. But then-- *silence* you left me... for them *gestures at popular kids*. I, your best friend since 1st grade, who has covered for you, helped you through your dog, Chika's death, nursed you everytime you were sick, was your awkward 3rd wheel because you were clueless at the fact you were on a date. I NEEDED you; and you were gone. You probably didn't even know- you probably still don't. My mother passed away and I needed a shoulder- your shoulder- to cry on. But you weren't there. Thanks. I have now realized how much I mean to you. Goodbye, Kevin."

6.) I'm not sure if I have a favorite story from the various ones I've written. My stories are all different. I take great pride in each one. I really liked my Belle of the Ball one- it took me a few days to finish- probably the story that took me the longest to write. I also enjoyed my Lurking in the Shadows as it was inspired by a life alert ad saying: "I live alone, but I'm never alone." (The story was a bit on the strange side). Another story I had fun writing was The World Within, my story inspired by a Harris Burdick photo. However, while I cannot pick a favorite story, I have one favorite line that I believe to hold true to me now. My favorite line from the stories I've posted here on my blog is: "Scared at first, but now I can spread my wings, and fly." This line comes from my poem inspired by Maya Angelou's Why The Caged Bird Sings. I believe that this line describes myself. Whenever I do something new, I tend to be quiet and timid; but once you get to know me, I will open up and talk your ear off. (;

7.) In the future, I hope to write many, many stories! I know I said that one day I would like to have a book of mine become a famous classic once I was gone from the world, but I've changed my mind. I wouldn't mind having my stories published one day and having people read them now, giving me input. I kind of want to know what people like in my writing and things I can improve on within it. One of my biggest hopes is that the people who read my stories find them enjoyable. I plan to keep writing even when I am an adult with an actual job. I hope to become a teacher or librarian in the future, so I will always be surrounded by reading. It's my dream for one or more of the books I'll be around, to be a book written by me.
I'm just going to release my stories, like Wanda released the Seeker.

8.) My advice comes from the wise man, Walt Disney: "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." I have this firm belief that you should do whatever your heart wants to do. While others opinions can matter, ultimately you should live your life in the way you want it to be. And if writing is what you want to pursue then do it. Writing is a beautiful thing. It's a magical thing. An outlet to express your emotions. Do what you believe is your destiny, because you only get one life to live. Just remember "Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever." -Walt Disney

Walt is just a man of wisdom.

Shoutout to my fellow friends of Table 1! I had a great time in Creative Writing with you guys! Love you all so much!

Happy New Years!

So on this fine morning on the "New Year," I finally got my @GabeIM5 follow on Twitter. Gabe and his girlfriend Alex (together they are #Galexy, pronounced like galaxy) were doing a tweet/follow spree. They had planned for one at 9pm PST and 12am PST. So that's 11pm and 2am here in the Midwest. Well, I was at a New Years Party so I missed out on the 11pm tweet/follow spree... But I arrived home from the party around 12:30 and decided to wait out the hour and a half for their #AskGalexy follow/tweet spree.

Two o'clock rolls around and I send them out my first tweet. I sent them a few tweets, wanting to be noticed, but at the same time NOT annoy them. However, Gabe sent out a tweet saying "Happy New Year and have a great night everyone!" around 2:25. With this I about gave up hope. But I wanted to finish my picture edit of #Galexy created from still images from their YouTube video of their cover of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. I tweeted out my edit about 15 minutes later, and then followed up with one more tweet 10 minutes later talking about how I'm bummed that their cover of that song isn't on iTunes. I believe that it was with those tweets that Gabriel noticed me. Because two minutes after the second tweet he followed me. And let me just say. HE BASICALLY GAVE ME A FANGIRL HEART ATTACK. BUT IN A GOOD WAY (if that's even possible).

So now I have 1/2 of a #Galexy follow and a 3/3 of IM5. And if you are confused as to why there are now only three members in IM5 instead of five because you saw my very 1st post, I'll explain. So the band started in 2011 with these five members/guys: Cole Pendery, Gabriel Martin/Morales, Will (William) Behlendorf, Dalton Rapattoni, and Dana Vaughns. Now, back in March of 2014, Dalton left the band to go back to his old band (the one he was in before IM5), Fly Away Hero. So this past summer, a beautiful human being by the name of David Scarzone, a friend to all the members (Dalton included) joined the band 8 months ago (April). However even though, David was an amazing addition to the band, he left this past November (2014) to pursue his dreams of dancing and singing and acting. He wanted to better himself in everything, rather than be good at just one thing. And let me just add that these two are doing awesome things. Fly Away Hero (the band Dalton is in) is releasing their EP this month and David released his 1D "Ready to Run" cover last month which was PHENOMENAL- I loved it!

So with Dalton gone they went to four members; but with the addition of David they went back up to five members. Then down to four once more after David's leaving.

As if this wasn't enough. There was more to come. The week of 12/14 - 12/20, I was on vacation. I was on a Disney Cruise from the 15th to the 19th so I had no wi-fi as I was on a boat (my parents didn't want to pay for those international fees- understandable). It was on the 17th that the bad, but more so sad thing happened and I was not informed until the 19th by my friends who share a mutual love for IM5.

Will Jay Behlendorf, my favorite member of the band decided to leave IM5 after 3 years. I was heartbroken when I heard the news, but it didn't really sink in until I got home on the 20th and watched the UStream in which he announced his leaving. I cried. But he too was leaving to pursue more into his musical talents. So I had mixed feelings. Happy he wanted to pursue his musical career more in-depth, but leave his band, his brothers.

So that is why it is now 3/3 rather than 3/5 or 3/6 of IM5. So yeah. That's a little (actually quite a bit) about my favorite boyband, its current state, and the surprise follow from one of the guys which is a great way to start off the 2015 year, might I add!

So that's it. HAPPY NEW YEARS! 2015, here we come~!

Story Ideas Come From the Weirdest Things

So I admit it. I tend to, what you call, "Facebook creep" on people. And don't get the wrong idea or anything at the context you may get from that phrase. In my confession of this, let's put all judgement aside for a quick second.

Here's how it normally goes down.

I'm just checking my Facebook, like any other day, scrolling through my timeline. When suddenly someone I'm friends with posts a picture. So I click on the picture, like (if I truly do), and then go about my business.

But sometimes, I end up at that person's profile. And I look at their pictures. And then when looking through some of their older pictures, I see someone else. Then the though of "Oh I wonder how their doing?" pops into my head and next thing I know I'm at that person's profile.

Now you may be thinking, "Wow. She's such a creepy weirdo." But hold the phone. Let's be honest. You probably do this all the time. Don't deny it. We both know it's true. But it's okay your secret is safe with me.

Anyway, the point of this post, is that in this little "Facebook creeping" I partook in, an idea for a story came into my head. Now, I plan to follow through with this story and finish it, no matter how long it takes (even though I just started it). So I'm curious. Would it be best to post my story here? Or post it on my Wattpad? I normally just read other peoples' stories and fanfics on their, but I'm willing to post my own stories on their too...

So what do you think? Here? There? Nowhere- Just keep it to myself? This is just my late night/early morning thoughts, as it is 1:41 in the morning on this fine day of December 27th.
